Rick grew up in Tucson, leaving to attend the University of California at Santa Barbara where he graduated magna cum laude in 1979. He joined the retail department of Coldwell Banker Commercial in 1980, leaving to form Volk Company in 1987. Having trained a number of agents while at Coldwell Banker, he realized that there was a better way to serve clients, utilizing a consistent training and mentoring program to a achieve a true team approach. Rick takes an active role, utilizing his 38 years of experience to guide and support the process. His extensive background, which includes new developments, ranging from strip centers to neighborhood centers to power centers, investment sales, tenant representation including comprehensive market strategies, restaurants, build to suits, and all other facets of retail real estate, has helped him to build an experienced and successful team that achieves or exceeds client goals.
